President's Message

The Galveston Fire Fighters Association Local 571 has proudly represented Galveston's bravest for more than a century. I'm humbled by the opportunity to serve as president of our association and build on the foundation that has been laid by our predecessors who were part of the first full-time professional fire department in Texas. Each day your Galveston fire fighters report for duty, they commit themselves to providing excellence in public safety to the residents, visitors, and businesses of Galveston. When we're not responding to emergencies, your fire fighters are constantly training so that when it's your emergency, we're ready. Our organization is proud to be a partner with the community we serve. Your fire fighters aren't just public servants. We're active citizens eager to continually make the island the best place to live, work, and visit. Every member of our association is thankful for the support you've provided us with over the years. We look forward to improving the lives of our neighbors and keeping Galveston safe for years to come.
